These won't fit in my Computer bag, but they pack well in my regular clothing bag. They have their own top notch carrying case with a zipper.
The USB power is a plus, no extra cords to carry around. Remember you're traveling. Traveling isn't perfect. just think "fluff and fold. I use my laptop
as my main Computer. When I travel they are the best option. They sound very good, much better than computer. Very nice with the DVD player. They probably could be overdriven
like a lot of small speakers. The front grills are metal and seem to be sturdy. I use them on my Macbook Pro. One major COMPLAINT is: they won't work
with my little Taurus travel usb hub. The speakers must be plugged directly to the laptop or they won't work. I don't know fault that is.
Remember: You can always return them and start over $ 80 at Best Buy

Antec Nine Hundred Steel ATX Ultimate Gamer PC Case (Black)

Antec Nine Hundred Steel ATX Ultimate Gamer PC Case (Black)

This will have been my fifth build over the last 12 years and this case was an absolute dream to assemble with only a couple drawbacks.

It speaks "Look at me" if you go with a blue theme it is wild to look at.

As for features I liked the placement of the front ports and the top recessed tray is handy to lay little thing in.

This case is basically solid construction but i found the the pull out fan drive cages are a pain to pull out.
Try and put them back in often they will get jammed and not slide back into place.

The fan intake filter screens clog quickly if you livein a dusty home and you will need to clean them every couple of weeks.

Plus the optional 120mm fan mount on the side internaly if used will get in the way of most tall graphic cards or internal water cooler rigging. Such was my problem but i just reversed the fan mount to outside the case and installed a fan grille.

It is sweet to look at in the dark but i will say it is loud like a fan running in the summer time.

I still love this case.

Cool looking case.
Putting it together wasn't as easy as I would have liked, but otherwise this is an excellent case.

Great case
This is one of the best case designs I have ever seen. The big boy fan on top and the other fans keep the computer very cool, but they are also surprisingly quiet. The fully customizable drive bays are designed well, allowing for many different configurations. The bottom mounting for power supply makes sense; I always hated having power cables hang down and interfere with case fans and other things.

The IO port on top is handy for plugging in usb, firewire or audio devices. And the case comes with blue lights pre-installed around the front and back fans, and the case looks good. The little "ipod shelf" (or whatever you want to call it) is also a nice bonus.

I had a couple small complaints. There are no air filters to control dust. And the top panel had only 2 usb ports; I would have liked at least 4 ports. Still a good case and not too expensive.

Good enthusiat's case.
I built a new system for my son with this case. I was able to install 2 DVD drives; a floppy drive; 3 hard drives; and a video card with no problems.
The best part about this case is that my son likes to see all the colors and then fans moving.

Excellent case with few issues
Overall i recommend this case because it does exactly what it was designed to do, keep your computer components running cool. After reading a few reviews, I decided to get this case and I was not disappointed. I recently purchased the i5 750 with an Nvidia 260 gtx with the P55 mobo. This system runs very cool even after moderate over clocking. I have seen in other reviews that the 200 mm fan blades are brittle so, I took extra care of avoiding them while installing the components. Also cable management can be a bit difficult in the Antec 900 but manageable. One thing i didn't like is that this unit was not designed with filters. Even after moderate use, this case tends to accumulate dust very quickly due to excellent ventilation that the case provides. I had to purchase two 120 mm aluminum fan filters and install them on the two hard drive cages to help minimize dust getting on the inside. Overall though, this case is well built and well designed and fulfills its intended purpose to keep your system components cool.

HP Mini 210-1080NR 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 9.75 Hours of Battery Life

QUICK SUMMARY: This HP netbook is n-network ready and has good style, functionality and features for its price-point. A somewhat troubled installation process and a few design complaints make it an almost 5-star product. Recommended!

Confused about all the different HP Mini 210 models? Check the bottom of my review for a comparison chart.

WHAT I *LIKE* SO FAR:

- It's small and lightweight, like any other netbook
- The screen is LED backlit and very bright and colorful
- The keyboard has good tactile feel, and isn't noisy while using it
- I almost always touchtype the correct key on the keyboard (even the Backspace and Delete keys), even though the keyboard is smaller than my 15" laptop computer's keyboard
- It's not sluggish using Office 2007 programs
- You can upgrade the RAM yourself (without tools!)
- Streaming of my in-home, High-Def home videos went perfectly smoothly
- No vents on the bottom of the netbook, only on the sides, so the netbook doesn't gasp for air circulation while sitting on your lap
- I could upgrade the RAM with a 2GB memory module
- The upgrade to Windows Professional edition went without a hitch
- The oversized battery tilts the keyboard a bit so it's easier to type on
- Nice audio sound from the earphone jack

WHAT I *DISLIKE* SO FAR:

- The battery is huge! Check out Amazon's product pictures and you'll see it's oversized -- great for long battery life, but *awful* for aesthetic reasons. The bloated battery ruins the svelte form factor of this netbook. Worse, HP currently makes no provision to buy a second, smaller, 3-cell battery that would fit the natural contours of this device (I checked with HP about this, and they confirmed they have no stock of 3-cell batteries for the Mini 210). The upside? It gives the keyboard a pleasant tilt to type on.
- The battery lock is spring-loaded on one side, but not on the other. The side that's not spring-loaded can be unlocked accidentally and easily, causing the whole battery to half fall-off the back of the netbook (this actually happened to me).
- It uses a power-on switch you have to slide with your fingernail, rather than using a simple, power-on button
- Some indicator lights, like the disk activity light, are placed on the side of the unit where you can't see them, rather than above the keyboard where you can see them
- I'm not a fan of glossy screens -- too many fingerprints to clean!
- HP replaces my [...] homepage with an HP version of [...], and that version doesn't render reliably when I fire up Internet Explorer
- The edge of the netbook below the keyboard is uncomfortably sharp when you rest your hand on it while typing; I wish HP had used a smoother, tapered edge for hand-resting comfort.

BACKGROUND:

This is my first netbook purchase, although I'm a very experienced computer user. I bought it to use at work to replace my paper notebook and to use Microsoft Office products common in the workplace. I sought for a very lightweight netbook with long battery life, good performance for its size, and a good feel to the keyboard. I looked online and in brick-and-mortar stores, and ordered this HP netbook from Amazon after first examining it in a local retailer who had it in stock (though with the battery removed, which is why I was surprised at how big this netbook's battery really is).

INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION:

The out-of-box experience started off well. HP includes a big, can't-miss-it poster that you see immediately after opening the packing box. It concisely describes how to start configuring your new HP netbook. Basically, plug-in your netbook and turn it on, then go through the configuration steps -- like choosing your computer's name and your timezone -- to setup Windows 7 Startup edition.

When it comes to setting up the wireless network, I dispensed with HP's hand-holding setup program since I know how to setup wireless network connections on a computer. HOWEVER, I was baffled for a while trying to figure out how to turn-on the wireless card. I'm used to my Dell laptops, where there is a hardware switch somewhere on the side of the computer. With this HP netbook, there is no WiFi hardware switch. Instead, you have to use an HP software utility for enabling the wireless card. Then, you also have to press F12 to turn-on the now-enabled WiFi card. I'd prefer a slide switch to enable/disable the WiFi card. BTW, the WiFi is b/g/n-network compatible.

I encountered a problem with the battery receptacle on the netbook. When I first tried inserting the battery, it just didn't seem to fit very well. Mind you, I am *careful* with new electronics I buy, so I didn't want to force the battery without knowing what kind of force was really necessary. I did apply a fair amount of pressure to insert and lock-in the battery, but after the first reboot, the whole netbook appeared to have just died! All I saw was a black screen and a white cursor after I slid the power-on switch. I was nearly ready to pack the whole thing back to Amazon when I returned to the battery that was hard to install. I detached the battery and looked at the netbook's pin receptacle -- one of the pins was bent! I used a steak knife to unbend the pin and tried reinserting the battery once more -- it slid more easily this time, and the netbook subsequently powered-on normally. I'm convinced the pin was bent off the factory assembly line. So, if you buy this netbook, examine the battery pins at the back of the netbook to make sure they're straight!

Once you connect to the Internet, you have to do all the latest patching of Windows 7 (other programs will automatically try to get updated, too, like Java and Adobe Reader). I did the essential patching to Windows 7 only, because I needed to deal with the bloatware.

This HP netbook comes with some bloatware and assorted shortcuts that I immediately removed, including Norton Antivirus (*hate* it - use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free, instead), a 60-day trial version of Microsoft Office Home & Student Edition, Adobe AIR, Times Reader, a bunch of Windows Live programs, and a bunch of HP programs. I uninstalled everything except the HP stuff, since I'm not certain what each HP program does at this point. HP is baked-in to Internet Explorer, too, in ways that make it hard to remove. There are a few other unknown programs I'm leaving for the time being. I've seen worse cases of bloatware on a new computer, so this actually wasn't too bad.

After uninstalling what I could, I installed Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Security Essentials, and my favorite utilities. The installation of Office went smoothly, including the subsequent Internet activation of the software.

Even after uninstalling a lot of crapware, I used MSCONFIG to find more than a half-dozen, non-Microsoft services that automatically start-up when booting this netbook (these aren't in the Startup folder, either). One of these services -- I suspect the HP service that enables the WiFi card -- interferes with my automatic backup to my Windows Home Server. I tried disabling all these services, but then the audio sounded *awful* without the "IDT Audio" service, so I re-enabled that service. What does this mean to you? Use MSCONFIG (Click the Start button, then type MSCONFIG) to disable these unnecessary, mostly HP services unless you really have a reason to use them.

All of this takes several hours to do.

USABILITY:

I've only owned this HP netbook for two weeks, so I can't say I've had a lot of experience with it as yet. So far, I like using it well enough. It boots up to the login screen in 45-50 seconds (Note: after I upgraded the RAM to 2GB, it takes about 35-40 seconds to get to the login screen). It takes about another minute after you've logged in to start-up Windows Desktop and the start-up programs. Starting Microsoft Word 2007 takes 10 seconds. In my home, where I have all g-network devices (but an n-network router), this HP netbook will connect with a speed of no greater than 65Mbps -- slightly faster than a g-network device. If I was able to convert all my devices to n-network connections, I could turn-off mixed mode on the router and achieve much faster n-network connection speeds. Be aware of this if you have an n-network router with g-network devices attached to it -- you won't get the benefit of this netbook's n-network capability.

In general, the speed is good enough for regular computing needs. My general purpose computer is a 2.5Ghz, Core 2 Duo, 3.5GB RAM, 15" Dell XPS M1530 laptop. This netbook obviously is slower than my 15" laptop! Sometimes scrolling large Amazon product sheets takes a bit of time, and sometimes I have to wait a bit while this netbook chugs away at some compute-intensive tasks. In general, though, I find the speed to be suitable for my casual work.

Playing audio and video through Windows Media Player was a pleasure, thanks to WMP's audio Enhancements (which are hard to find, sadly).

WINDOWS 7 STARTER EDITION:

Know what you're buying when you get this (or any other) netbook with Windows 7 Starter Edition. This edition of Windows has fewer features than even Home Basic, and much fewer than Home Premium or Professional editions of Windows 7. You *can*, however, use Microsoft's Anytime Upgrade to move from the Starter edition to a higher-level edition. It took me one day to decide to spend and extra 9 to upgrade from the Windows 7 Starter edition to Windows 7 Professional (upgrading to Home Premium costs ). With the Starter edition, there is no Windows Aero user interface, you can't choose themes or even Desktop wallpaper, you don't get Windows Media Center, no Sticky Notes, and you can't even move the Taskbar (I like my Taskbar on the vertical left rather than bottom horizontal). You can use Windows Briefcase -- which has been around since Windows 95 -- to synchronize data with other computers, but it's a pretty wretched, problem-filled technology (as I found out this morning while synchronizing with my home server). Windows Professional replaces Briefcase with rock-solid Offline Files & Folders (my favorite feature of the Pro edition) which is what corporate America uses to keep data portable and synchronized.

The battery life is advertised at 9.75 hours, but that would only be true if you are playing Solitaire on the dimmest screen setting possible, with no disk activity and Internet connection turned off. I use Battery Bar (freeware) to watch over battery power. It reports I get a little more than 6 hours of power from the battery (I'm using WiFi half the time, and the screen is lit at 50%).

UPGRADABILITY:

You *can* add more RAM to this netbook. Do a Google search on "how to upgrade RAM hp mini 210" to see a great video on the details of that. I performed an upgrade to this Mini 210 netbook, swapping out the 1GB memory module for a 2GB module (Crucial 2GB 256Mx64PC2-5300 CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory. For that matter, the process for upgrading would let you swap out other internals, too, like a different network card or different hard drive. Pulling off the back of the netbook is a little unnerving because you don't want to bend or break the back cover, but I was able to do so without a problem -- the cover just snaps on/off.

CONCLUSION:

The one thing I dislike most about this HP netbook -- the huge battery -- is the one thing I'll appreciate at work, since I won't have to recharge the battery between or during meetings anymore. In fact, after two weeks, I've made friends with the oversized battery. I think the problem with being unable to get a second, smaller, 3-cell battery is a temporary issue related to the January 2010 release of the Mini 210 netbook line. It's the little design quirks -- placing indicator lights where you can't easily see them, battery lock switches that too easily unlock -- that make this an almost-perfect little netbook rather than a perfect netbook.

Slow start, but strong finish
I must say I was a bit disappointed with my HP mini purchase.

Cons:
1.) Skype installation defaulted to external mic, and it was frustrating to figure out.

Pros:
1.) great keyboard, easy to type.
2.) Easy memory upgrade to 2gb. It made my mini super-fast!
3.) Nice/compact design

I am happy with it now after initial installation hiccups and memory upgrade. It's a good little machine.

I'm a Mac guy, but...
...Since the iPad hasn't been released yet, I bought one of these to show my design portfolio to clients. And I must say, I'm impressed. Gorgeous, minimal design, bright, beautiful screen, effortless set-up (it connected to my wireless network without a hiccup, unlike an Asus EEE I bought, then returned, a little while back). But best of all, this thing is ZIPPY! Videos load and play super-fast. Great little machine.

Ordered one of this item along with multiple others [I qualified for FREE shipping]. Received everything I ordered online through AMAZON.COM from the Seller 365USA in excellent condition and packed very securely and showing care for efficient delivery. Received the shipment Dec. 17, 2009 via UPS so delivery was as expected, if not sooner. UPS drivers were hurried because of Christmas rush I'm sure. Items were as advertised and were in new condition still in original packaging. I would definitely recommend this item as a good BUY. Am a well-satisfied customer of AMAZON.COM at this point. Keep up the great work guys/gals. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY, PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2010.

Excellent Product!
Excellent product for doing 'worry-free' backups in a very short amount of time. No software needs to be loaded either. It has a good screen interface for viewing/restoring the backed up files, including the ability to view or print photos. It works with any hard drive you may own and it can backup multiple PC's as long as there is adequate space on the hard drive. In addition, you can have other files on the hard drive along with the Clickfree backup files. It has a comprehensive user manual that can be reviewed or downloaded off the Clickfree web site. This is a highly recommended product.

EASY TO USE AND NO PROGRAM INSTALLATION
I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT FOR ABOUT ONE MONTH. THE TRANSFORMER REQUIRES USING YOUR EXTERNAL DRIVE. THE NUMBER OF COMPUTERS THAT THE TRANSFORMER CAN ACCOMMODATE, IS ONLY RESTRICTED TO THE CAPACITY OF YOUR ATTACHED EXTERNAL STORAGE DRIVE. YOU CAN SELECT THE TYPE OF INFORMATION YOU WISH TO BACK UP FOR EACH COMPUTER THAT IS PHOTOS, E-MAIL, MUSIC ETC.
THE PROGRAM IS IN THE DEVICE, YOU JUST PLUG INTO A USB PORT AND IT DOES A AUTOMATIC BACK-UP. BACKUPS COULD NOT BE EASIER. TRY IT.

Excellent Product
Works easily. The key is that you can use this with a portable drive and on several machines as needed. You can also specific additional file types to backup and have auto backups. This kind of backup works well for all sorts of users as your data files are backed up on the fly fast and easily. The price is right.

I ordered this monitor to replace the last CRT in the house. I have a HP L1710 17 inch at work that is great, and the dying CRT was 17 inch so I figured I'd go cheap and get this Acer with free shipping. Also the resolution matched the highest resolution on the old desktop that it is plugged into. I think the 1710 is a slightly better screen, but not so much that it matters. The Acer monitor is just fine, and we have bunches of Acers at work with no problems. The problem for me is that now I wish I would have gone 19 or 20 inch. I had a Viewsonic 20 inch widescreen before, and it quit working on my computer, and for some reason will only work on our Toshiba netbook now, and not on any of the other six computers in the house. Will never buy a Viewsonic product again. Anyway, aside from being too cheap to up the size, I recommend this monitor. By the way, it came with a SVGA cable, which I needed since the old CRT had its cable built in.

Very nice. Use the supplied cable. Not great in portrait rotation.
Very nice for text work.

Be sure to use the supplied VGA cable. The ferrite filter cores on the cable ("blobs" near each end) are necessary to maintain signal quality for a sharp display. A plain VGA cable I tried produced very blurry video.

Viewing angle is narrow if you unmount it from the stand and use another stand for portrait mode.

Excellent value.

Cheap, durable, good monitor
This monitor is not feature rich, but it is affordable, has good quality and has the "back to basics" appeal. If you are a hold out with the old CRT and didn't want to spend much money on an LCD, this would be a perfectly fine option.

Not recommended for Windows 7
Decent monitor for XP or Vista. The colors and pictures are very sharp and bright. I would not recommended it for Windows 7. I had some font issues with a new machine which were fairly difficult to resolve.

Dell Axim X5 48MB/64MB 400Mhz

I bought one of these X5's at a great deal of from here a long time ago, I also got the keyboard for it, I only needed it to last until I go out of collage as it was just for note taking only. The poor little thing has been through alot since it can to my hands, it's been dropped countless times, even a couple times from on top of a 12 foot step ladder onto the concrete shop floor, just about every time I dropped it both the stylus and the battery go flying away from the main unit, and every time it still works.

The standard battery did not last long so I bought a 3400Mah battery from Deckcell here on amazon, and it I will got about 2 to 3 weeks of using it everyday to take notes in class before the battery even gets to 50%, I once went 6 weeks before it gave me a warning that I had 20% battery left.

I plain on buyng another one of these in the next couple of days, just to have as a spare because it is that good.

I THE GOT DELL AXIM X5 POCKET PC AND I LOVE IT ITS A GOOD BUY AND ITS WORK GOOD FOR ME ITS A COOL THING SO YOU ALL NEED TO LOOK AT DELL AXIM X5 POCKET PC YOU WILL LOVE IT

great product, dell is top quality
I bought the dell axim x5 a month ago, I like dell products, and own a laptop from them, so it was natural for me to buy the axim. The axim is a god product the x5 is an older model but it more than meets my needs, has all the basics; word, excel, mc library, outlook calender and email, internet explorer, windows media player. plus microsoft has all kinds of apps for the axim, you can add pictures and songs. the x5 has a great price as well. I reccomend adding a sd card for extra storage. The only problem i had was really my fault i bought a 4 gig sd card that would not work with the x5, later i found out that the x5 will not read sd cards over 2 gigs, so i bought a 2 gig card for [...] bucks, but that is more than enough space for most users

Axim X5 Rocks!
I bought mine in 2003. The little pda has been a constant companion of mine since then. I keep notes for work, play games, listen to music, read e-mail, surf the web, read ebooks, and watch movies. It is now four years and it is still going strong. I have used this device almost everyday. Yes, it is a little bigger than some pdas but it is durable and the battery has a good life. Also, if the battery life is not enough you can buy another battery for on ebay and charge it in the second bay of the pda dock. Overall after four years I would call it outstanding.

Dell Axim

I bought these 2 Dell Axim x5 they work great got them on time and in great condition. But this merchant could have a better return policy. I originally did not want them and asked what their return policy was they wouldn't take them back based on dislikes. But I would buy from this merchant again.

Targus TCM004US Basic 15.6\

I'm so happy I chose this particular laptop carrying case. This is my first, so I did take time to look over the reviews and various cases carefully. This is very durable and yet practical. The various spaces allow me to take extra paper, pencils, calculator, etc. It's padded well enough to take hard bumps. At first I wanted a "cute" bag but decided to go with a more practical one. I would definitely buy this again.

A very sound basic case
This case doesn't inspire a lot of drama. My Macbook Pro slides in it easily and seems well protected. The pocket holds my mouse and charger and various other computer specific items. After a year of constant use, it isn't really showing any wear. It does exactly what I bought it for.

Case? It is in't a hard protective plastic. It is a very nice nylon bag.
This is not a hard protective case for a laptop. It is a very nice, multi-compartment nylon bag.

Laptop case in San Diego
Great product and delivery was very quick. The laptop case was exactly as described and my new Dell laptop fit perfectly for my trip from San Diego back home to NJ. Great price for the case - room enough for the mouse, power cables and papers. Dealing with Amazon has always been a wonderful experience. Highly recommend Amazon in general and this product in particular.

Excelent bag
Targus does a great job with their laptop cases. This one is light and well made.

Great little speakers!
I use these at work, and they work great! They're plenty loud enough. Probably be good for travelling with a laptop also. A real deal at 6 or 8 dollars.
