This is an outstanding item for ballroom and line dancers. With this and your laptop computer, you can practice anywhere you have time, space and permission. This small package turns your pc into a boom-box with adeqate sound for a large room. It does not reproduce bass enough for dj-type activities. At under .00, the price is reasonable.

Versatile Speakers
Very acceptable quality for such small speakers. Liked that capabilty to hang them on the wall in back of computer.

Not too bad
The sound is pretty good, easy connectivity with my Vista ultraportable. I have mostly design quibbles. Don't understand their size - too big for their innards! In their travel case they could easily pass off as a netbook computer! Could have been half as big and therefore lighter with the same 2-way configuration. Designer or boss doesn't seem to understand the value of size/weight in mobile speakers. Plus no channel in back to feed the cables through, so when packed up in their travelling case the cables are compressed by the closed kickstand which itself will wobble and eventually loosen at hinge due to this oversight. Aesthetically they're ok, yet don't you hate fake bass ports? Like a fake air intake on a car hood. I mean who are you fooling? Just because you're selling them online doesn't mean you can play that game! Just more useless molded plastic, more weight... keep it simple, guys! Stick to the basics, less is more, less is more... On the up side, one design decision which I do agree with is the avoidance of any front-facing power-on LED indicator. These are invariably too bright in a darkened environment and an eyesore when watching a DVD, with a pinpoint of bright blue light staring at you from off to one side of the screen. Here the solution was to place a column of light on the side, which both softens the effect and does not intrude on the visual field.

They're okay, but not great
These speakers are good for the price due to the fact that they are, USB powered, slim and portable, and have decent sound quality. However, there are speakers out there in the same price range that offer better sound quality. While some of these might not be as portable they are still USB powered. They're great if you want to travel with them, and need some speakers to set up in your hotel room. If you are looking for a True USB speaker set up to use at your home and aren't as concerned about it being portable, then I would go with other choices out there in the same range. I usually use the standard AC plug with AMP that plug into your computer's headphone jack, but my jack was damaged and must settle for the less powerful USB type.

Couldn't Ask For More
Before I bought these, I had been looking at many different 2.1 speaker systems found many that fit my criteria, but not many that I was really impressed by. I had been looking for quality, looks, a good sub woofer, and a good price and found it in this speaker system. I couldn't ask for more. The sub woofer at full bass volume and half master volume really surprised me, this thing made a great deal of bass, so much that it made my water on my desk just about dance. The satellite speakers really look nice next to my 24" acer monitor and make a very good sound. The control little thing that sits on my desk for these speakers is really easy to use because all you have to do to change the volume is spin the entire top of it. probably the only complaint for this system is the bass volume adjuster, it is located on the side of the control thing and is only a dial that is a little less convenient to spin than the dial on top that only requires one finger to spin.

Bass no good
Simply, if you are a bass junkie like me don't buy these speakers! ive gotten better at office depot for 30$. If tremendous bass is not an issue to you then these are alright for the cost.

I listen mostly to techno/ Electro-house/ Hip-hop/ trance etc..etc.. and was disappointed with the bass so if you are like me skip on buying these, there's much better for less even.

Amazing 2.1 speaker system!
I bought this item two days ago and received it two days after, really pleased with fast delivery.

Summary: This speakers are a huge improvement from my two satellite Philips Magnavox plus an amazing subwoofer!
Pros: Sounds so much better just the way I want it and the subwoofer is my favorite part of it, I just love it!
Cons: The left speaker is weaker than the right until you turn it up louder... other than that everything is fine.

I would recommend this to people who are looking for inexpensive 2.1 speaker system, it's a great buy and worth every penny! I'm a satisfied customer!:)

Good Speakers
I'm not a audophile, but the sound that comes out of these speakers is much better than my old ones, which I had to replace because they shorted out. My only gripe is that the sub woofer is a bit big for my desk, but that could be easily solved by placing it on the ground, etc.

My Husband Is Going To Be SOOOO Jealous
My husband spent a lot more money for a different set of speakers then this set you are looking at here, so I was a little leary to order them for my own computer, especially with only two feedbacks listed at the time even though they were both 5 and 4.5 stars. But I am glad I went with my gut. This set sounds much, MUCH better than his speakers by mega-yards. To my ears there is no distortion even at levels that are at loudnesses that are too loud for me to listen to. No no hissing either, (even when pushed -his does even at some reasonable levels- haha) that I am totally blown away at what I got for the price and what comes out of these tiny little speakers. Do NOT be afraid my fellow shopper. Like the other person said, I didn't mess with the equalizer either, sounded good right outta the box.

I betcha when he comes back from the mountains this weekend and hears mine, he orders a set.

Just what I needed
I bought these for my laptop since I have a fastly growing music library. Sound quality is good for the price. Only complaint is that the headphone jack doesn't seem to work but unplugging the speakers and plugging in the headphones isn't a big deal for me. They are definately worth the price!

What I was looking for.
This was a great purchase, though at the moment I was ready to buy another seller had a slight price advantage so I didn't buy from Amazon. That said, I replaced a newly-purchased Logitech S-220 set with these and man was that the move of the year! For about the same money, this is a FAR superior sound. The Logitech rig gets great reviews, and for the most part I agree they provide fairly quiet noise-free sound, are somewhat convenient with the little "pod" to control the sound and provide inputs, but the sound overall was not up to par, and nothing I did could change that. The sub was poor, and that's that. No matter where placed. Anyway, read up on the CA-3618 and made the switch and it was like "YESSSS"! Exactly the antidote. the CA set provides depth, breadth, REAL bottom, crystal clear mids/highs, in fact so good that I have not even thought about EQ'ing anything since I got them. Movies, Youtubes, Sound files, all my music, everything is just great. Can really get LOUD if need be. Also, the cabling is much more generous with this set so I was able to locate the speakers where I wanted to instead of being constrained. They look very good, matching the skin of my HP DC7600. Honestly, these things are worth , and thus a bargain. These are beefy enough to use with HDTV sets in a bigger room, providing great sound on a budget until you can get that monstrous Blu-Ray-Surround sound you've been lusting after.

Cheap Speakers
I get a lot of radio interference a buzzing sometimes, but otherwise good for your money.

Great speakers, great price
I have nothing but positive things to say about these speakers. The sound quality is excellent, the volume can take it as high as you could possibly want to go and the price can't be beat.

Good value
The sound of Cyber Acoustics CA-3550 2.1 Comptuter Speaker is excellent, for the price that I paid. Good value.

couldn't be happier with them
i shopped for new spkrs for at least a month...going from retail outlet (via computer) to online search...i originally picked out the altec lansings but those were discontinued and though available are hard to find...stumbled across these...WOW!!!...i'm not easily inmpressed by much anymore...somethings has to WOW me to even consider them...while these are not BOSE at 300.00 it's comparing apples to oranges...they arrived on time...setup in less than 5minutes...the sound...remarkable for the price range...actually i would have to say exceptional for the price!!!it actually exceeds my estimate of wattage for the room being used...thank goodness for volume control...if you like music (and i have over 450 albums on my hard disk and am always creating playlists) or video games (i don't play them but think a videogamer would be very happy) these are the ones...i don't even see a reason why i would ever want to upgrade them...my friends say i have a masters degree in returns because i'm never satisfied...well not with these...i'll have to find something to else to "bitch" about and return so i can maintain my reputation!!!

Tower speakers
For the price you can't go bad. Easy to set up and listen to. Makes your tower a big speaker box. I like the fact that the earphone is set in the front of my tower now.

GREAT
It's loud, it's convient and on the go for lan parties. better than monitor built-in speakers. No base or stereo seperation but thats ok and to be expected.
Amazon lied to me and said tha if i spend I get free shipping, well that did not happen.

space saving speakers
The speakers are fine. they wouldn't play music all that well. I have mine in the base unit cubby of a desk. but, we keep our PC in the family room where we have a stereo system so we don't use the computer for music. I like not having speakers and the extra wires. We have a flat panel, cordless keyboard & mouse and that's it. I nicer selection would have been aflat panel with integrated sound.

Great set of backup speakers.
I'm not much of an audiophile, so this speaker is great for me. It is basically a set of inexpensive desktop speakers in the hassle-free confines of a 5' 1/4" bay. Also perfect for a younger child's computer, so you don't have to worry about the speakers getting knocked around. This speaker really comes in handy for backup when I take my computer somewhere and I forget my headphones. The speaker can be quite loud and is clearly heard through the front panel on my case, even at mid-range volume. The construction looks a bit cheap, but it is suprising powerful.

Final Verdict: It you don't buy it expecting high-end brand quality, you won't be disappointed. At the price, it can't be beat.

A good buy
With this low price, .99, the sound is pretty good, especially the base. For my computer, this set of speakers works very well. Worth buying.

SMALL BUT POWERFUL
SMALL BUT POWERFUL without the expense. Great for my computer and the music really sounds so good now from it. Movies sound so much better with this hooked up to my computer. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY NETFLIX CUSTOMER!!
