Works as advertised, UNTIL.......
Pros: Out of the box worked fine, although with a blurry image. The manual recommends adjusting the display settings to get a clearer image, but BEWARE!!!!! (see below)

Cons: Aside from the menu button also functioning as the power switch, the unit's light weight puts it at the mercy of it's connecting cables. The menu is graphically driven: IF you change the setting and it's incompatible with your display, YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK! Your display will say "out of range", and since the options menu needs a working monitor to display itself, NO MENU. There is no way to reset factory settings.

Summary: It does what it says. The image quality wasn't the best, (but I wasn't using S-video input) and as stated above DO NOT change the Display menu until you are SURE your monitor is compatible. Impact Acoustics techs say there is NO WAY to reset the unit to factory specs, and without a monitor, you are flying blind in Menu-ville. You have been warned! I have to ship mine back and swap it for a new unit.

Excelent product.Key feature is that computer need not be on to convert video to vga mode.Compact works well.

Everything I wanted and more
I purchased this Boston Acoustics 5.1 system to go in my new projector room. I was looking for a smaller speaker package to get the most out of my projection wall without speakers sticking out. The speaker system comes with really nice speaker mounts that were really easy to install and the system doesn't stick out at all in the room but still manages to deliver excellent sound for movies and sporting events. I did purchase another boston center channel speaker to get 6.1 sound out of my system which I would recommend to others wanting the extra back speaker.

Great for the price
I bought a set of these a while back for Ventrilo with some buds and can honestly say that I have had zero problems with them. Sound is crisp and the mic picks up well and is clear to those on the other end. I doubt that these would suit an audiophile but they do the job for me. If I were to complain about something, I'd have to say that they are a little uncomfortable after a couple hours of having them on... but I kind of expect that with any headphones such as these.

Cyber Acoustics AC 101 Head Set - Ok For The Price But Not Great
The Cyber Acoustics AC-101 Monaural Headset & Boom Mic is the base model in their line-up, but has some representative features of low end headsets. While this unit isn't terrible, it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." You may want to look at some of their higher end models or check out the Creative HS-600 Headset with Noise Cancelling Microphone.

Pros
- Good Price for basic headset
- Earphone is decent quality for a basic headset
- "Voice Recognition" certified for those using that feature
- Microphone easily swivels for left or right ear use

Cons
- The monaural headset won't meet all your gaming and multimedia needs
- The list price of may be correct, but these sell for in my local brick and mortar. So you still get a better deal at Amazon, but you are saving about B0002KK620 or 7% as opposed to 28%.
- The microphone sensitivity seems somewhat low
- Durability is questionable; the wires and connectors are your basic cheap grade and won't last heavy abuse
- The head rest arm is somewhat sharp and could have used more padding; put it on with care

For my money, I prefer the Creative HS-600. They are more expensive at about to , but they give you stereo headphones and more comfortable cushion ear-pads. The microphone also seems like an improvement over the Cyber Acoustics. If you don't want to pay that much you can always look into the Cyber Acoustics AC-201 Stereo Headset/microphone, Logitech Premium Stereo Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone, or even the Cyber Acoustics AC-850 Silver USB Stereo Headset/Microphone with In-line Volume Control.

If you need an inexpensive set for infrequent use and don't mind the wired connection, this set is worth a look. If you plan on using your headset often and don't mind spending a little more, look into the Creative set or other alternatives.

Perfect mike
The only cons: just a tiny bit tinny sound and a little bckgr noise. All the rest are great qualities: sensitivity, omnidirectional (definitely more versatile than unidirectional), real 300-16000HZ spectrum, small, clip-on, cheap. Good for voice recorder, great for Skype (only don't put incoming sound through comp speakers), did I mention cheap?

Great little microphone
I am a court reporter and I use this microphone to record proceedings on my computer as I'm writing. I love this microphone. I also train reporters on the software that I use, and I give them one of these with their training. It picks up audio very well. I did a side-by-side test with a 0 Sony mic, and this one was just as good.

Microphone
The microphone worked great. We used it with a webcam to be able to talk and see our relatives in New England while living in Washington state.

Good Cost-Benefit purchase
It is not the best I ever used, but is a good cost-benefit purchase.

Cheap Speakers
I get a lot of radio interference a buzzing sometimes, but otherwise good for your money.

Good sound, but uncomfortable.
I am using this to video message through Skype. We were having really bad sound interference. These really helped cut that down. The sound quality is pretty good & the mic works very well. I do have 2 complaints. I am a girl & ordered these partially because I liked the white color, but when they arrived I got a black pair. I think that picture is misleading! The other complaint is that they are really uncomfortable. I wear glasses & it hurt my ears after just a short time. I didn't say anything because glasses can cause that issue, but then my 3 year old used them to talk. He also complained that they hurt his ears. The sound quality is pretty good & works for what I need, but I have already replaced them with the same kind that I bought for my husband.

Headset Boom Mic
Works well and great price. A little flimsy.... wonder how long it will hold up.

Not horrible
The mic itself is actually quite decent, however, the headset is damned uncomfortable after more than, say, 10 minutes.

Headset / Microphone
The headset / microphone is easy to use and the price is reasonable. I am happy with the product and the headset feels comfortable to wear. I believe that I will have years of use with this purchase.

An excellent value
For the price, you can't beat this system. It does exactly what I needed it to do, which is providing sound when my laptop is on the desk. The speakers are good-looking and let you control the bass boost from the desktop speaker. The including gaming patch cord was nice (although I don't need it) and these speakers also provide a headphone jack. Amazon/[...] beat the price offered by [...] and shipping was prompt. Very glad I made this purchase.

Boom! Cradlerock Style!
Not much to say here. With a 68 Watt (max) amp, 8" subwoofer, and nice big cabinet, this little 2.1 system is worth more than ! Lots of bass! Maybe a little boomy, but for the price, it's a steal! Get one!

Hard to beat for price
Granted, these aren't THE BEST speakers I've heard, but at they are definitely the best sub-0 speakers I've ever heard. I've tried some big names like Altec Lansing/Boston Accoustics and these still sound overwhelmingly better. The highs are nice and crisp and the lows are deep thanks to the pounding 8" subwoofer. Don't turn it up much higher than 70% with the bass up more than 50% or it'll start to distort. Honestly, that's the only downfall to the system...deep, clean bass at higher volumes just isn't there. At lower to medium levels, these sound awesome!
