First of all, please bear with me as English is not my first language.

I am not necessarily a big Apple fan.
I briefly owned a first generation Nano and I didn't like it. I also briefly owned a first generation Iphone and I wholeheartedly disliked it. I am also kind of forced to use a Mac in my recording studio, that I am defintely not in love with.
And having to travel quite a lot, I ended up owning quite a few mp3, mp4 players throughout the past decade.
What ended up convincing me to buy an ipod touch, beside the stunning looks of the item itself, is laziness: being the de facto standard of mp3 players, you have access to a wide range of cool accessories -docks, speakers, covers, skinds, etc- that arent' surely available for other brands and the Itunes, Appstore thing ended up sounding appealing.

In a nutshell: there are better players out there in terms of sheer performance. I have a chinese offbrand player with an 800*480 amoled whose video quality can't be even compared to the Touch's. I have a 320gb archos that in terms of storage space and comfort (drag and drop the files and that'd be it) is miles above the Ipod. And I still also believe that the two philips I own (and the other chinese Nationite one) sound somewhat better than the Ipod. But still, after a couple weeks spent trying to get ahold of the whole Itunes philosophy, I strongly think that I won't go back. The thing looks awesome, has a decent sound (of course what kind of in ears or headphones you end up using will make all the difference, as the included ear buddies are abysmal, in my humble opinion), battery is just ok (but I bought a Satechi auxiliary batter and I just LOVE the thing) but it's Itunes, once you get ahold of it, that makes the thing amazing. Organizing your songs, videos, apps is
a breeze. No more wasted space with 193 copies of the same mp3. You can actually surf with the thing without going crazy. Some of the apps are irresistible (plants vs zombies is destroying my social life). 32gb is a decent amount of space to store records, pictures and a few movies. And the endless amount of docks, speaker, skins, covers, makes my whole experience of owning an Ipod Touch the whole better.

Apple iPod touch 32 GB (2nd Generation) [Previous Model]

I ordered an ipod touch for my son after his got stolen. I had never ordered anything off the computer especially elecctronics so i was pretty nervous about it.Took a lot of time looking at them and deciding. I chose a seller with good reviews and good refund policy. This paid off. When we recieved the ipod it had a lot of scratches on te screen. This was not specified in the description so I wanted to send it back because my son did not want that. I emailed them saying we would send it back fora refund. They got back with me with an apology and offered to replaceit with a better one. They gave me instructions that I ask for and a label to use, they even paid for return shipping. We got the new one in good time and they upgraded for the problem. I am very pleased, they did not have to do all that, I didn't ask for anything. I think that is great customer service to keep that sale and future ones. I will always order from them when they have what I want.

iPod touch syncs your bookmarks from your PC or Mac, so you can access favorite sites quickly. It has Google and Yahoo! search built in, so it's easy to find what you're looking for on the web.

Zoom with a View
Get a closer look at any web page by zooming in and out with a tap or a pinch of the Multi-Touch display. View websites in portrait or landscape. Rotate iPod touch 90 degrees and the website rotates, too.

Clip it.
If you check a website frequently--a favorite newspaper, blog, or sports site--why not create a Home screen icon for it? Make Web Clips with Safari, and your favorite sites are always just a tap away.

Email on iPod touch looks and works just like email on your computer.

When you're connected via Wi-Fi, you can get directions, find local businesses, and check traffic with Maps.

Mail
Email on iPod touch looks and works just like email on your computer.

See it All
iPod touch supports rich HTML email, so images and photos appear alongside text. And you see email attachments in their original formats, not stripped-down versions. Rotate, zoom, and pan in more than a dozen standard file and image formats, including PDF; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and iWork.

Access it All
Access your email from popular providers--including MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail, and AOL--and most industry-standard IMAP and POP mail systems.

Send Fast
iPod touch recognizes email addresses in different applications. If you run across an email address on a web page or a map listing, for example, just tap it; iPod touch opens a new message and addresses it for you.

Type Smart
With its built-in dictionary, the intelligent iPod touch keyboard predicts and suggests words as you type, making it fast and easy to write email.

Maps
When you're connected via Wi-Fi, you can get directions, find local businesses, and check traffic.

Find Yourself
iPod touch finds your location using known Wi-Fi hotspots. It also finds points of interest by keyword: Search for "coffee" and iPod touch shows you every cafe nearby.

Get Directions
Just type in an address and get directions from wherever you are. View a list of turn-by-turn directions, or see a highlighted map route. You also can mark specific locations and find the best route between them.

Enjoy the View
Just like Google Maps on your computer, Maps on iPod touch lets you switch between views of Google map data, satellite images, and a hybrid of both. Multi-Touch makes the difference. Tap to zoom, pan, and change your view on the move.

See Traffic
Maps on iPod touch shows you live traffic information, indicating traffic speed along your route in easy-to-read green, red, and yellow highlights.

iPod touch gives you three ways to view your calendars. List view shows you all your appointments in the coming days as a comprehensive list, which you can scroll up and down. Day view displays one day's worth of appointments visually. And Month view offers an at-a-glance look at an entire month.

Organized by Groups
If you keep your contacts organized into groups--such as co-workers, friends, family, and so on--iPod touch will, too. And iPod touch can hold more than just names, email addresses, and phone numbers. You also can track birthdays, websites, nicknames, and notes.

Check Stocks
Stocks on iPod touch shows you performance information for any stock you choose. When you want more details about a stock's performance, tap the Y! for instant access to Yahoo! Finance.

Check worldwide weather at home or away. Add the cities you want, then flick back and forth to get six-day forecasts for each. Tap the Y! to open a Yahoo! city guide that shows you what's happening, rain or shine.

Take Notes
Forget the pen and paper. Use Notes on iPod touch to write yourself a quick note and keep important information on hand. There's even a built-in email function that lets you send notes to yourself or others.

Calculator
iPod touch's calculator helps you settle the restaurant bill or keep track of your budget.

Calculate Simply
When you tap the Calculator icon, iPod touch shows you a simple application with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and memory functions. Use it just as you would a pocket calculator.

Calculate Scientifically
Your simple calculator doubles as a sophisticated scientific calculator. Just rotate it to landscape to access dozens of functions for solving complex science and math problems.

iPod touch now includes built-in Nike + iPod support.

Nike + iPod
Get the most out of your workout.

Tune Your Run
iPod touch now includes built-in Nike + iPod support. Just slip the Nike + iPod Sensor (available separately) into your Nike+ shoe and start your run. The sensor communicates wirelessly with your iPod touch, tracking your time, distance, and calories burned. It even gives you voice feedback on your progress.

Tune Your Cardio Workout
This feature also works with new cardio equipment available in many fitness centers. Just look for treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and stationary bikes that are Nike + iPod compatible.

Sync with Nikeplus.com
When you get back to your computer, sync your iPod touch via iTunes and transfer your exercise data to nikeplus.com, where you can track your workouts, set goals, and challenge friends.

Multi-Touch
iPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone.

Glide, Flick, Pinch
Built to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the Multi-Touch touchscreen interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, zoom in and out on a section of a web page, and control game elements precisely.

How it Works
The Multi-Touch display layers a protective shield over a capacitive panel that senses your touch using electrical fields. It then transmits that information to the LCD screen below it. iPod touch software enables the flick, tap, and pinch.

Type with the Touchscreen Keyboard
iPod touch features an intelligent touchscreen keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, getting directions on a map, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts. It analyzes keystrokes to suggest words as you type and correct spelling errors automatically. And because it's software based, it changes its keys to support typing in multiple languages.

iPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks.

Accelerometer
iPod touch responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer.

Responds to Movement
iPod touch detects when you rotate it from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display. So you immediately see the entire width of a web page, view a photo in its proper aspect ratio, or control a game using only your movements.

How it Works
The accelerometer inside iPod touch uses three elements: a silicon mass, a set of silicon springs, and an electrical current. The silicon springs measure the position of the silicon mass using the electrical current. Rotating iPod touch causes a fluctuation in the electrical current passing through the silicon springs. The accelerometer registers these fluctuations and tells iPod touch to adjust the display accordingly.

Perfect for Gaming
Accelerometer technology really shines when you play games because it immerses you in the action. It's perfect for racing games--where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel--and for tap-and-tilt games like Super Monkey Ball, in which your character responds to your every movement.

Wireless
Connect iPod touch to the Internet anywhere there's a wireless network.

Connect Automatically
iPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks. If you've never used a particular network, it asks you to enter a password the first time, and it remembers the password from then on. So the next time you're within range, it connects automatically.

Surf's Up
Now you can send email from a coffee shop. Surf the web at the airport. Shop for games from your couch. Browse, buy, and download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at select Starbucks locations or other wireless hotspots in your area.

Apple iPod nano 8 GB Silver (5th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

Ok, so I washed my old ipod shuffle 2nd gen and of this course killed it. I loved that thing because I just clipped it on and went for my run. My bday is coming up and I suggested the ipod nano 5th gen as a present and now that I have tried it out, I love it too. I didn't know how much I was missing out with my older ipod. This is beautiful and slim. I had no problems figuring out how to use it immediately. I had no problems getting my music on it. I see the battery life is not going to be all that great though. My old ipod could go for two weeks of running without dying.

I love the FM feature, super easy to use as well and a great perk for listening to T.V. in the gym. I have no idea why more MP3 players don't have this feature.

I love the video feature, which I initially thought was stupid to have on your MP3 player and I actually find it to be a lot of fun. I take videos of the family and pets and they look really great except for when the light is low.

I am very pleasently surprised and while I was a little apprehensive to buy this because of all the bad reviews, I've had no problems. I don't find the controls to be hard; I don't know why so many people complain about that. They do take a little getting used to but they are not hard.

If you are looking to upgrade or if you kill your old MP3 player, give this one a go!

Also, I want to add that if you have an iphone, all your connectors will work with it. So, the car charger, docking stations and wall charges will fit this. Awesome perk!!!

    Shake to Shuffle Your Music
Hear songs in a totally random way. Just turn on Shake to Shuffle, then give iPod nano a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You never know what iPod nano will spin for you next.

Don't Just Listen to the Radio, Pause it and Tag it, Too
The new FM tuner lets you see the names of songs and artists. And two amazing features--iTunes Tagging and Live Pause--make listening to the radio nothing like listening to the radio.

FM Radio--it Gives You Yet Another Way to Rock
There's always something great on the FM dial. And now the FM tuner lets you hear your favorite morning shows on your commute and discover new music while you work out. It even shows you what and who you're listening to.1

With Live Pause, You'll Never Miss a Beat
Say you need to take a quick break from listening to your favorite radio station. iPod nano lets you pause it with a click. Another click and you're listening to your station again. You can even rewind as far back as 15 minutes, then fast-forward to catch up to the live broadcast.

iTunes Tagging--the New-Fashioned Way to Discover Music
It's quite a dilemma: You're listening to the radio and you hear a song you like, but when you go to iTunes, you can't remember the name or even who sings it. Enter iTunes Tagging. Now, you can use the Click Wheel on iPod nano to tag the song. iTunes creates a list of all your tagged songs so you can easily preview or purchase them when you sync iPod nano to iTunes.

VoiceOver--the Talk of the Music World
VoiceOver tells you the title and artist of the songs you listen to. And does it so seamlessly, you'll be surprised at how brilliant it is.

    Let's Talk VoiceOver
What if you're listening to a song and want to know the title or the artist? Just use the Click Wheel or the controls on the optional Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic and VoiceOver tells you the song name and who's performing it without interrupting your music. So you're never distracted from your ride or run by looking down at your screen.

The nano now includes an FM radio with iTunes Tagging and Live Pause functions.

Capture a thought, a reminder, a class lecture, or any audio recording you want with Voice Memos.

The new Pedometer counts every step you take. Or add Nike+ shoes and a Nike + iPod Sport Kit for the perfect workout partner.

    How it Works
You'll notice how smoothly and easily VoiceOver works. A lot of thought went into creating an iPod nano that not only talks, but says the right things. It all begins with iTunes and its seamless integration with iPod nano. First, iTunes reads your song information, then uses the VoiceOver Kit to generate the announcements for the songs, artists, and playlists. Just sync your iPod nano to your computer and it really speaks to you.

    It Speaks Multiple Languages
Your music library has songs from all over the world--a love song from France, a bolero from Spain, a pop tune from Japan. Luckily, VoiceOver speaks fluent song.

iTunes selects the language and best voice for your song titles and artist names. It looks at song data, like the title, artist, and album information, then applies intelligent algorithms to choose the right language. For example, iTunes recognizes the song "Ya Viene el Sol" by Ozomatli as a Spanish song, so your iPod nano will automatically speak that song title and artist in Spanish. If you prefer to hear that information spoken in another language, you can change the designated VoiceOver language for that song in iTunes.

    Hit the Ground Running--Or Walking
With the Nike + iPod Sport Kit (sold separately) and a built-in pedometer to help keep you motivated and track your fitness progress, iPod nano makes working out less routine.

Step it up with the New Pedometer
You take your iPod nano with you everywhere. Why not use it to stay fit? iPod nano now doubles as a Pedometer. It uses the built-in accelerometer to keep track of your steps and help you meet your fitness goals. You can create a daily step goal or set it to Always On so it counts all the steps you take, all the time. Which makes iPod nano the ideal exercise partner.

    Rock and Run
Your shoes and your iPod nano team up to maximize your run. See the minutes tick by. Watch the miles unfold. Hear real-time voice feedback. All to your favorite music, including your chosen Power Song--that one song that always gets you through the home stretch.

    Rock the Gym
Take Nike + iPod to the gym and minute by minute, mile by mile, you're motivated by more than music. Connect your iPod nano to a Nike + iPod compatible cardio machine. Record your pace, time, and distance as you work out. With iPod nano, every trip to the gym becomes a new challenge.

    Sync
When you're finished, connect your iPod nano to your Mac or PC. iTunes automatically sends your workout data to nikeplus.com. Every workout and every run is there, ready for you to review. Get pumped for your next run with recommended challenges, custom training programs, and maps of new routes to try. Or share motivation with runners across the world.

Note to Self: Voice Memos Are Here
The built-in mic lets you capture a thought, a reminder, a class lecture, or any audio recording you want with Voice Memos.

    iTunes: Your Greatest Hits
It's even easier to organize, browse, grow, and share your digital music and video collection with the new iTunes. And now you can save items with a wish list and enjoy iTunes extras--bonus features on select albums and movies--like lyrics, photos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes media.

    Ipod Nano 5th Generation
Overall, finish was good and I liked the product. That being said, it did not function as advertised. The shake to shuffle feature did not work at all and not sure why they added a pedometer. Might try another to determine if it was just the unit sent to me. There have been some reviews stating that the 5th generation did not work with docking stations etc. I did not find that to be true. Amazon return policy is hard to beat.

    What can I say?
It's easy to use, it's light, it looks cool and I can take a ton of music with me. Even the video works great. Compared to other portable music players it is overpriced, but hey ... that's Apple. I've never been satisfied with any headphones that comes with music players but that is just an anatomical issue I guess. Bought headphones from another company for running instead.

    Love my 5th generation ipod
It's sweetness to have this 5th generation ipod. Just what I needed...for working out, listening to music on the go, etc. What a great value too!

I love my first iPod 5th Gen
This is a great product. I am new to Mac in general and iTunes, so I found it only natural to buy an iPod. I chose this one due to the radio tuner. I run and ride a lot so the radio is great for me to get music as well as local news. The tuner is great. I use an aftermarket earbud set that is more comfy than the ones the sell with this iPod and they work just fine. I also use the Nike +, sensor and pedometer every day. I find the calibration to be ok, within less than a 1/10 mi. I have to do more benchmarking on its accuracy though..screen orientation setting is important here I think. I bought an aftermarket rubber sleeve for it and it has been great for protecting it. The playback sound is great. The modes of selection of music is easy. The alarm tones are not very loud so using it as an alarm clock or timer really doesn't seem reasonable. All in all I would recommend this product to anyone active who travels light and wants access to radio and all the Mac bennies.

FM Radio--it Gives You Yet Another Way to Rock

For example, iTunes recognizes the song "Ya Viene el Sol by Ozomatli as a Spanish song, so your iPod nano will automatically speak that song title and artist in Spanish.

Apple iPod nano 16 GB Orange (5th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

Apple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL

And the endless amount of docks, speaker, skins, covers, makes my whole experience of owning an Ipod Touch the whole better.

i am very pleased with this product
I bought the itouch for my husband as a valentine's/birthday present, I also bought him some accessories to go with it. I got a great deal on both and they came in excellent shape and we didn't have to wait a long time to get them. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

    Awsome product
Its is definitely worth purchasing. Loads of fun with every touch. Have downloaded lots of apps and music for constant entertainment. Would recommend buying.

    Amazing!
Easily one of the best products I have bought recently. Easy to use, comes with so many great features, and the battery life is wonderful! I highly recommend this to anyone and only wish I would have bought one sooner!

    I-touch incredible
Nice graphical. Incredible functions. I really have great fun with my i-touch. The only weakness is a little bit hard to use for a first time user.

iPod shuffle: The First Music Player that Talks to You

    The World's Smallest Music Player
To create the world's smallest music player, we moved the controls from iPod shuffle to the earphone cord. This makes iPod shuffle smaller than ever, and the controls are right where you can reach them. So when you want to play, pause, or skip to the next tune, you don't have to fumble for your iPod shuffle--just follow the cord and press a button.

The First Music Player that Talks to You
VoiceOver will surely be the next big hit on your iPod shuffle. Say you're listening to a song and want to know the title or the artist. Just press a button, and VoiceOver tells you. You can even hear the names of your playlists. And when your battery needs charging, VoiceOver tells you that, too.

    Easy-Access Controls
The controls are located on the right earphone cord. With command central strategically placed in this more convenient location, you can navigate your music--and activate the VoiceOver feature--without taking your eyes off your run, your ride, or whatever you're doing. iPod shuffle includes these easy-access controls, but you can also use headphones with similar controls from manufacturers like Scosche, Klipsch, V-MODA, and Belkin.

Your Music Library ... to Go
iPod shuffle is now available in both 2 GB and 4 GB capacities. So you have plenty of room to store hours and hours of music--up to 1,000 songs with the 4 GB model.2 That's a load of essentials for your workout or commute. And there's room for multiple playlists and audiobooks, too.

    Multiple Playlists
You've probably made multiple playlists in iTunes. One for your commute. One for the gym. One for just chilling out. Now you can sync playlists on your computer with iPod shuffle, and play the perfect mix for your activity or mood. VoiceOver tells you the name of each playlist, so it's easy to switch between them and find the one you want without looking.

    Let's Talk Color
The anodized aluminum enclosure makes iPod shuffle sleek and durable. It's even more colorful in gleaming pink, blue, green, black, or silver. And making its debut: the special edition iPod shuffle in polished stainless steel (Talk about rock star treatment). Even the iPod shuffle clip rocks. It attaches securely to your shirt, jacket, workout gear, and backpack, making iPod shuffle the perfect fashion tech-cessory. And yes, there's still room for personalized engraving.

    Multiple Languages
A French love song. A Spanish bolero. An Italian cantata. Your music library has songs from all over the world. That's why VoiceOver speaks 20 different languages. So it can tell you song titles and artists in the correct languages.

To Shuffle or Not to Shuffle
The shuffle switch has three positions. Flip it to the left, and you'll hear your music in a refreshingly random way. Flip it to the middle, and your songs play in order. Or flip to the right to turn iPod shuffle off.

Bought it because the 5G came out and amazon has a great deal on the 4G. love all the new features, only issue is many of the radios / speakers that charge all the other ipods now say charging not supported on this accessory. The usb charger works and my wall chargers so I don't know what apple did with this. It is my only complaint. (this replaced an older - probably 1G or 2G nano)

choice of color was selling point. price was good. i still like the old mini. smaller is not always better. for the choices i have great buy.

    Why buy any other brand?
Apple's got the mp3 world by the you-know-what. Don't bother with any other brand. Sure, they're a little cheaper, but you will be so much happier with a genuine iPod. It's the best money I've ever spent on ANYTHING. A necessity for all music lovers.
