The case provides excellent protection for the MacBook Pro. I have not had any problems with overheating as there are vents built into the case. The case snaps on easily and fits very well without any looseness anywhere. Although I haven't needed to yet, it is recommended that you pull the case off and clean out all of the dust and small particles on occasion to prevent any damage. This is an overall great product and I would highly recommend this as protection and a way to customize your laptop.

Great Protection for My Macbook Pro
I am satisfied with the product. It protects my Macbook Pro well and looks nice on it. It is easy to install. My only complain is that it is hard to take it off. I watched the video by Speck on how to install/uninstall the case. I guess I don't have enough strength to pop the case out. Overall, it is a good product and I do recommend to everyone.

I purchased a Speck hard case for my previous model MacBook Pro and it has kept the case free of scratches and dents. When I take the cover off, the MB looks as good as the day I bought it so I purchased another Speck hard case for my new unibody MB Pro and it fits as works as good as the previous product. Pros: One one thing bothers me....
the fingerprints tend to show on the case.

It looks good but it doesn't fit that well!!!! :(
I have a macbook pro 13 inch and I bought the purple case, the satin one. I already have a pink case but not the satin one and it was perfect!!! And then I got my purple satin case this morning and it didn't fit that good as the pink one did. I checked it out and it wasn't exactly the same size. There's a little difference in the size of the covers that made a huge difference when I tried to put it on my computer. I don't know if this case is really like this, or is it just this one. I hope I could return it and they could send me another one. :( I ended up using my old pink one again. :/

I bought this to protect my son's computer and he loves it! Shipping was very fast! Highly recommend these to prevent scratches and dents.


Its okay.
I bought the pink satin cover even after reading some of the negative reviews. The pink is more a day glow pink rather than a pastel and the material marks up very easily. Its quite annoying, so I will more than likely buy a regular pink hard case once this one gets too crappy for me to look at. It also makes my macbook a lot heavier and my screen tends to close or go back a lot.

Been waiting for a sophisticated, well-fitting case that doesn't look like a poorly executed afterthought. Found it. Purchased the red case and I have to say it has been a hit with everyone who sees it. At first blush, it's extremely difficult to tell that the case isn't really part of the original Macbook. Now, that's impressive.

Even though my laptop doesn't fit in the provided slot, I still love this bag. I would agree that Speck products are more suited for Macs, and since I have a 17 inch Dell Studio, it's not even a tight squeeze- it's just not gonna happen. However, the padding in the entire bag is sufficient enough that I feel comfortable leaving my laptop in the main pocket, right in front of the laptop one. You can still fit something else in the laptop pocket at the same time, so it's really not a big issue. I also quite enjoy all the "secret" compartments such as the water bottle pocket that can be zipped away, the mp3 player slot, and other not so obvious places to store your stuff. The straps are very sturdy and comfortable, the zippers run smooth, and the fabric seems like it will hold up well. I wouldn't recommend it if you need to carry around tons o' stuff, but I'm using it for college and I think everything will fit fine. Overall a cool looking and nifty bag.

Perfect backpack for 17" MacBook Pro and plenty room for books. Just wish it didn't have velcro.


Great, but not perfect...
I really like this bag. It seems sturdy and protects my macbook quite well. It is also stylish and very comfortable. What I am little disappointed by is the space for books. I am a pharmacy school student and I can fit one book and one large binder in the back along with my macbook. I wish I could get another book in there but it is just too tight. Again, I like this bag alot but if I were to do it again, I might try a different one.


One of The Best Computer bags out!
I was a little scared about the fit for my laptop after reading another review about it not fitting a 17" Hp laptop. I made the purchase and I must say this bag is great. My laptop fits perfectly and can be removed with no issue. I would not recommend using it for a 17" laptop, unless it is an apple laptop.

The secret back door compartment on this bag is great. I can finally remove my laptop without actually opening up the whole bag. You simply just unzip the back support (back cushion) and remove it, or place it back.

I highly recommend this bag to anyone if you are searching for a quality bag and great support for your laptop.

I purchased this backpack in the hopes that it would fit my HP 17inch laptop. It does but it is very, very snug. I have to stretch the bag over the laptop, it does zipper just fine, but it definitely does not fit all 17 inch laptops comfortably.

This case is for the old Macbook model, will NOT fit the new ones. Be smart and check model before you buy, unlike many people here who were too lazy to read the product details before they bought it and are now complaining about this great asset for Mac.

After a month using this great case in my Macbook White, all I can say is that I'm totally pleased with it. It was easy to install in my Macbook and it comes with a friendly cloth to clean your Macbook with - do that before you put the case on, and there shall be no scratches. It fits perfectly and does not interfere with the use of side ports or the cooling system. It does protect from scratches, which is the case's main purpose.

I got the red case, and I think my Macbook looks lovely on it. The color is beautiful, really, quite lively. Now, it does seem quite heavier - which is funny, since the case alone isn't heavy at all O_o -, but I think it's quite a small price to pay for a scratchless mac.

If you do buy it, remember the manufacturer instructs you to remove the case once in a while, wipe the surfaces of the Macbook and the case clean and put it back on to prevent from scratches or use marks.

Anyway, Im quite pleased with it so far :]

good case
This case is very easy to put on your computer and leaves USB and import sockets accessible. The only minor complaint I have is there seems to fit a little wrong around the bottom of my case, but it's barely noticeable and still functions perfectly. For the price, I would definitely recommend this.
